The Requirement

The customer operates in public healthcare, with operational and administrative sites distributed across the territory.

Over time, the network infrastructure had developed through different architectures and connectivity solutions, increasing complexity and making centralised management more challenging.

The goal was to create a modern, resilient and centralised network, able to connect the different sites to the Data Centers of the National Strategic Pole (PSN) and support the migration of applications and services.

The Solution

N&C designed and implemented a new SD-WAN infrastructure to centralise and automate the management of the wide area network.

The project started with an assessment of the existing infrastructure and included the redesign of network components, integration with the PSN and the configuration of Fortinet SD-WAN devices.

Particular attention was given to testing, tuning and gradual migration, with the aim of evolving the existing network without disrupting services.

The project was carried out over approximately two years and concluded with the go-live, followed by the activation of monitoring and support services through the N&C NOC/SOC.

The Result

The customer now has a more resilient and easier-to-manage network infrastructure, able to support services distributed across multiple sites.

The SD-WAN architecture has enabled centralised network management, improved application availability and strengthened operational continuity through advanced redundancy and failover mechanisms.

The new infrastructure also provides greater scalability and reliability, supporting the evolution of the customer’s services and their integration with the National Strategic Pole.

"We build reliable, flexible network infrastructures that support continuous innovation and provide organisations with constant, secure connectivity."
